I'm Alisa, an artist living in Tacoma in the Pacific Northwest. I have been painting in watercolor and pastel for several years now. I began a career with a degree in graphic arts, and in time found my way to watercolor and soft pastels and fell in love.
Hey there:) thanks! I love the photograph I got to use, it was taken by the owners. There was originally a lot of pattern of bold stripes on the couch, all going in different directions, so I did my best to tone it down and still keep the feeling of it intact.
Hi Alisa, I always love seeing your pastel work. Well, I enjoy ALL your work but you know I've always had a soft spot in my heart for your pastel work :). I'm glad to see you are still at it!!
Sandy! hello neighbor:) I do favor pastels, I think they like me back, at least more so than watercolor does. Still have not tried my hand at oils, isn't that what you primarily use to create your beauties?
Ahhh, I can not give up the sweet sound of that pastel scrapping against the sand :) though I do wander off in to the oils every now-and-again. I know I mentioned this years ago, Alisa, but you have the pastel gift and I love seeing what you do with it!!

This is wonderful, the details of the paws and how they come into the foreground is very cool.
